Philip Threadneedle is an author from the North of England. His debut novel, The Astronaut's Apprentice, is a comic caper for children aged 9-12, which has been described as "a hoot of a jaunt through space" that "will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat and laughing" (The Bookbag).

He has since released a sequel called City of Meteors. A third instalment called The Richest Man on Mars will be available from mid-2013. The series has its own website called Space Adventure Stories.
